How My Custom Domains Work

I maintain two separate websites: one personal, and one professional. What is my tech stack of integrated platforms that keeps everything running?

I purchased both domains through Hostinger. Depending on the contract, it comes out to about $10-15 USD/year.

  1. My portfolio site, Day Learning Design, is a bit more complex than my personal site. I pay for a separate Google Workspace account ($7/month) so I can have Drive, a Google Calendar, and Gmail all in one place. I use Hostinger’s hPanel interface to run a WordPress site, and I prompted Claude AI Pro to build a theme.
  2. For my personal travel blog, I used Blogger (free) and connected it to the custom domain by adding two CNAME entries to my DNS settings in Hostinger. There are many online articles walking you through these steps and it’s quite easy. The domain came with a custom email address using the site URL. For the front-end design, I bought a custom theme on Etsy, used Claude to customize and imported it to Blogger.

So that’s the digital ecosystem that keeps my websites running. Is your setup similar?
