About McKenzie Day

đź‘‹ Greetings, Earthlings!

👩‍💻 My Professional Skills

Cross-Functional Collaboration

I excel at building relationships across teams and following up on action items. Recently, I facilitated a listening tour with 57 stakeholders to gain support for a digital credentialing program, ensuring successful vendor procurement via thorough communication and tenacity.

Strategic Planning and Reporting

I approach programs with a strategic plan and provide meaningful data to track success. By documenting processes and creating dashboards, like an Azure DevOps dashboard for a playbook website, I’ve showcase progress on 147 features and 853 user stories, effectively highlighting our impact and productivity.

Innovative Risk-Taking

I enhanced product education by developing asynchronous, hands-on practices in a new training environment rather than instructor-led exercises. This innovation, achieved through technical collaboration and experimentation, saved 35 hours per learner and reduced facilitator dependencies significantly.

Aligning Teams with Vision

As a PMP, my strength lies in uniting learning program teams around a clear vision and performance goals. I currently lead a diverse project team—content developers, a product owner, a UX designer, a digital librarian, and SMEs—in releasing content bi-weekly to a Professional Services portal, ensuring our mission drives high business value.

Recognition: I was in the top 10 finalists nationally in the Teaching Tolerance Excellence in Teaching award from the Southern Poverty Law Center. The nomination reads, “As the social studies department head, McKenzie has been leading a radical transformation in the way her subject is taught at Atlanta International School (AIS). For example, she has invited students into a partnership with their teachers to help develop the new social studies curriculum. The drive to center students as co-creators of their own educational experience also informs McKenzie’s work outside of the classroom—most notably in her development of the AIS Green Team.”
