ID Standardized Processes

Having worked for multiple stable and established L&D teams, I’ve learned that efficiency and consistency come from clearly established processes.

Two processes that your L&D team should clearly define are:

  1. Deploying eLearning. What settings do you use in authoring tools? In Storyline, what player settings and SCORM output settings do you select? How do you push eLearning to production in your LMS?

  2. Review process. Who needs to see your work? What rounds of review will your work undergo? How will you implement feedback?

Both of these processes should have explicit directions for everyone on the team to follow. This ensures consistency; all digital learning will have the same look and feel and same level of polish.

Having these processes standardized also helps with new hires. These were both common questions for me when I started with new organizations.

What other processes do like to have clearly defined for your L&D team?
