Career Move Announcement AND Podcast Appearance

This post is a two-fer, as I’ve got some big changes in the coming weeks.

October 25 will be my last day with Capital Group, and on Oct. 31 I am starting with CSG as a Senior Technical Instructional Designer. I am going from a hybrid arrangement in the financial services sector to a fully remote position at a software company.

When I decided to job search at the end of August, I ALSO decided I wouldn’t leave my current position unless it entailed a raise/promotion. The thing is, I’ve had it good at Capital Group. My team is wonderful, I like the work, and I’ve grown a lot. I’d recommend the organization to anyone. But at the end of the day, I felt strongly that remote work was a better fit for me long term.

I took concrete steps to earn this career advancement, steps that I discuss with Heidi Kirby in this week’s episode of the BLOC podcast.

There is a TON of information out there for transitioning teachers trying to land their first ID job. What about us folks who have successfully made the transition, but are now ready to advance to the next step within the L&D world? That’s what we cover in the podcast episode.
