Glean AI Tool

What’s an AI tool I use daily in L&D in tech? Glean!

Glean is a search engine, chatbot, and agent-builder that has access to all of my company’s documents. It provides internal context in a way other tools just can’t.

Glean pulls in details for my projects that I didn’t even know I was missing. It draws from everything and shares relevant information from Outlook, Teams, documentation, process guides, etc.

Some useful scenarios include the following:

  • I can run a script or project plan through Glean and ask what I’m missing.
  • If I come across an acronym that’s unclear (which let’s be real, happens daily) I go straight to Glean.
  • Glean is good for running weekly agents to run to summarize my progress or write a to-do plan for the upcoming week.
  • When I forget where someone mentioned a fact in a Teams chat, I can ask Glean, “where did so-and-so make that comment about the new project risk? Find the chat and send me that part of the conversation.”

You can also build a library of prompts like Copilot so this platform is a real multi tasker.

It’s like having a personal assistant at the tip of my fingers that can research, perform admin, and coordinate my schedule.

If you have access to enterprise Glean I highly recommend taking advantage of all the functionality.
