Greetings Earthlings. It appears I surpassed 3,000 followers on LinkedIn this week, so it’s time for a reintroduction.
About me: I’m a former teacher turned instructional designer for a remote software company. I also freelance through my side business Day Learning Design LLC. My career has led me to diverse communities of learners all over the planet- from Antigua to Quito to Hong Kong, and back to the United States.
As for my personal life, I like exploring Atlanta, inhaling books, and globetrotting (45+ countries thus far!) My snaggle-toofed terrier Sirius is my adventure buddy, and I sing in a feminist community choir.
If you follow me on LinkedIn, you’ll see I post weekly about career stuff. All of these posts are collected on my blog, which consists of tips for a successful job search, explanations of basic instructional design concepts, and stories from my own career pivot.
So how can I help you?

Transitioning teachers, I’m available for free chats. There is a calendar with availability on the Contact page of my website (linked in the comments). Come pick my brain, let’s review your application materials, or talk about different corporate career paths.

If you have any product training needs, I can work with you as a part-time contractor! I love developing eLearning for customer education teams, and I’m particularly skilled with technical training. Video demos, software simulations, labs, vILTs, or user guides, I can do it all.
Thanks for being here in my little corner of the internet.
