I blocked LinkedIn on my phone.
I like posting on LinkedIn and haven’t slowed down in that regard, but I needed it to be LESS accessible.
This year I blocked a lot of specific websites on my phone, like Facebook, Reddit, Zillow, and LinkedIn. My aim is to lessen the amount of mindless scrolling I do just to fill the time – and so far, I’ve slashed my phone’s screen time in half.
Blocking LinkedIn on my phone gives me more time for reading, meditation, and journaling. I’ve felt such a difference over the last few months; I think reducing screen time has lowered my stress and anxiety levels, and boosted my ability to be present and focused.
Interested in minimizing your screen time as well? If you have an iPhone, I’ve got you covered.
On your iPhone, navigate to Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions > App Store, Media, Web, & Games > Web Content. Wow, they really hide it in there. Select Limit Adult Websites and add your blocked websites to the Never Allow list. Obviously, delete any apps associated with those websites as well.
Reclaim your time for your real life and try blocking some websites on your phone. Let me know how it goes in the comments on the post below!
